We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join Decatur Industrial Electric as a Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients in the industrial manufacturing and OEM sectors, specifically assisting with order processing for industrial electric motors.
$20-$25/hour
Non-exempt
Day Shift – Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:
– Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone, email, and chat
– Manage customer inquiries, orders, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
– Work closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth and meet customer expectations.
– Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
– Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of products for our clients.
– Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to better assist customers.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in customer service or inside sales, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Proficient in using ERP software, Office 365, and other relevant tools
– Ability to effectively handle objections and resolve customer complaints
– Proficient in using software applications for data entry and analysis
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
